Pricing & terms
Fixed scopes. Published ranges. No hourly meter.
Every engagement starts with a written scope naming the deliverables, the price and the dates. If the scope does not move, the price does not move.
Data audit & one-off analysis
C$1,500 – C$3,000
1–2 weeks · roughly 10–25 hours of analyst time
- One defined analysis or a documented assessment of your current data
- Findings memo with figures and a methods statement
- Reproducible script for the analysis performed
- One revision round
Dashboard & QC reporting sprint
C$4,000 – C$8,000
3–4 weeks · roughly 35–60 hours · typical engagement ~C$5,000
- Data intake, cleaning script and explicit QC rules
- Reporting dashboard or report template your team can run
- Written methods, handover walkthrough and training session
- Two revision rounds
Multi-source lab data project
C$8,000 – C$20,000+
6–10 weeks · roughly 80–180 hours
- Several instruments, LIMS exports or study datasets reconciled into one analysable source
- Full statistical or bioinformatic analysis on the integrated data
- Documented pipeline built to be re-run on future batches
- Two revision rounds and staged milestone reviews
Monthly analytics retainer
C$1,000 – C$3,000 / month
Ongoing · three-month minimum term
- Standing capacity for recurring reporting and analysis requests
- Named analyst continuity across months
- Priority turnaround over one-off work
- Quarterly review of what to automate next
All amounts in Canadian dollars, excluding applicable taxes. Ranges reflect scope and data complexity; your written scope names a single fixed price.

Comparison
| Engagement | Price | Timeline | Effort | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Data audit / one-off analysis | C$1,500 – 3,000 | 1–2 weeks | 10–25 h | You have one question, or no idea how bad the data is |
| Dashboard & QC reporting sprint | C$4,000 – 8,000 | 3–4 weeks | 35–60 h | Reporting is manual, slow and error-prone every month |
| Multi-source lab data project | C$8,000 – 20,000+ | 6–10 weeks | 80–180 h | Data lives in several systems that disagree with each other |
| Monthly analytics retainer | C$1,000 – 3,000/mo | Ongoing | Agreed monthly | Analysis demand is continuous, not a one-time push |

Contract terms
The standard terms, stated upfront
These appear in every fixed-scope agreement. They exist so a stalled project has a defined consequence instead of an argument.
Data within five business days of kickoff
You provide the complete agreed dataset within five business days. Analysis cannot start on a partial extract without changing the estimate.
Feedback within three business days
Review milestones are returned within three business days so the schedule holds for both sides.
One or two revision rounds, defined in the scope
Revisions cover corrections and refinements to the agreed deliverable. New questions are new scope.
Change orders for new scope
Additional analyses, extra endpoints or new data sources are quoted as a written change order and approved before work begins.
Day-for-day extension on client delays
If data or feedback arrives late, the delivery date moves by the same number of days. No penalty, no surprise.
Confidentiality by default
We sign your NDA, or provide ours. Your data is not reused, resold or included in any public case study without written permission.
Pricing questions
Before you ask
Why publish prices at all?
Because the first question every lab manager has is whether this fits the budget, and a range answers it in ten seconds. The written scope you receive names one number, not a range.
What happens if the scope changes mid-project?
We issue a change order describing the new work and its price, and you approve it before anything is built. The original scope stays fixed until you say otherwise.
Do you take equity, milestones or deferred payment?
No. Fixed-price engagements are invoiced with a deposit at kickoff and the balance on delivery. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance.
Are the prices in Canadian dollars?
Yes, all figures are Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes. US clients are invoiced in CAD unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Tell us where your lab data gets stuck.
A 20-minute scoping call. We map your data flow, name the bottleneck, and tell you plainly whether this is worth paying for.
